Dick Bertapelle – Founder and President

Dick has lived in Wine Country since 1997 when he and his wife, Pat, bought the Haydon Street Inn in Healdsburg. While successfully operating that business for nine years, Dick became very involved in the wine industry. After selling the inn, he managed a startup winery for nearly two years until the idea of starting his own wine label became a reality. With his name on the label, Dick is committed to producing only high quality wines, and thus far, the Bertapelle Cellars wines are exceeding expectations.

Mike Griffin – Founder and Senior Partner

Mike’s career has been in the financial services industry since 1980. During that time, he has built two large insurance and investment agencies while specializing in business and estate planning. Along the way Mike has nurtured a sincere interest in Californian wines, culminating in the establishment of Bertapelle Cellars. As he has a demanding palette, he will work to ensure that Bertapelle Cellar vintages live up to his and his partners’ high standards.

Michael Talty – Winemaker

Michael bought his Dry Creek Valley vineyard in 1997 and proceeded to build his winery there. He has since developed a reputation for producing the finest quality Zinfandel in Dry Creek Valley. Michael has brought his unique, handcrafted winemaking style to Bertapelle Cellars, where he oversees the harvesting of grapes and production of these artisan wines.
